July 4th is here and it's time for hot dogs, cold drinks, the pool, and naturally preparing your voice to ooh and ahh at the fireworks displays! There are several big displays going on in and around San Antonio to catch, here are the 4 we recommend.
- Woodlawn Lake - The City's official "HEB 4th of July Celebration" with activities going on all day long including music, kid's activities, tons of food, and yes a huge fireworks display. 11 AM - 9:30 PM
Schertz 4th of July Jubilee - The day begins with a 5K and parade at 9:30 AM. Plus a carnival from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. at the Thulemeyer Park Large Field. Fireworks at 9:15 PM
- Leon Valley - The day starts with the Pioneer Firecracker 5K, then food trucks and more at Raymond Rimkus Park with the Spazmatics performing at 8 followed by fireworks
- Helotes - The City of Helotes will do their celebration on July 3rd at the festival grounds with food and drinks, plus live music and fireworks
And of course if you're like many people in SA you can also drive out to La Cantera to park and catch a glimpse of the fireworks from Six Flags, just good luck finding a spot if you arrive late, and even more good vibes on trying to get out of there in a timely fashion after!
