Last week Only Fans announced come October 1st, they would no longer allow sexually explicit content on their platform - which is ironic, since that's literally 99% of Only Fans' actual content. They were trying to be a place for creators of all kind - but the porn angle seemed to work. Plus...it was working for the creators. Tons of people use the site to earn a living, including the woman in Austin who acts like a dog on camera and rakes in over $200,000 a year! But all the sudden...it wasn't good enough? What gives?
Turns out, it was their major financial backer, a bank, who said they could not be involved in the pornography genre as part of their investment portfolio...so either Only Fans find new financial backing, or change their ways. I guess the latter was easier, so they did what they did. Eventually the bank reversed course for some reason and Only Fans did as well.
So did the online backlash work? Maybe...but as always, it came down to the almighty dollar. Speaking of...time to go take pics of my feet and upload.
