Texas beaches really do get a lot of crap, but they're also special in many ways too. I mean you can drive on some of our beaches, there are the sea turtles, the tar----wait, is that a good thing. All the friends I've ever brought to Port Aransas seem to be grossed out by the tar possibilities, it's only happened to me once. But still, Port A, South Padre, and the others have a special place in my heart...they're basically our very own version of the Jersey Shore, minus all the drama. (Unless it's spring break)
So here is what USA Today says are the best beaches in Texas....I was a little surprised myself. Take a look!
