With a father and grandfather who both worked as Texas Coors beer distributors, the beverage industry was a natural fit for Trey Azar. After graduating from Baylor University in 1994, Trey was employed in fine wine sales for Block Distributing, now Republic National Distributing Company. In 1995, he became part-owner and operator of A&S Holdings, Ltd., while serving as general partner of 36 wine and spirits retail and wholesale stores in San Antonio, including well-known brands like Mike’s Beverages, SeaZar’s Fine Wine and Spirits, Don’s and Ben’s and Western Beverages.
Kim Azar began a 10-year career in cosmetics working for Estee Lauder, then eventually managing a six-state territory for Lancaster Brands and managing regional accounts for Chanel. After spending a few years at home with her children, Kim began a second 12-year career selling high-end real estate. With two highly successful careers under her belt Kim shifted her focus after meeting Trey, and together they started Azar Family Brands.
With a passion for branding and production, the duo founded Azar Family Brands and developed Cinco Vodka in 2009. Cinco has since received numerous awards and gained significant recognition throughout Texas. Trey and Kim’s ultimate goal is to gain national distribution and have Cinco become a household name. In 2016, the Azars introduced a second craft spirit to the market, Seersucker Southern Style Gin.
When Trey and Kim aren’t running the family business, both are active philanthropists and members of the San Antonio community. Trey participates as a member of the Texas Cavaliers, San Antonio German Club, Order of the Alamo and the San Antonio Town Club. Kim is an active member of the Junior League, National Charity League and Any Baby Can.
Trey and Kim reside in San Antonio Texas with their five children. In her free time, Kim enjoys playing tennis and volunteering at her kids’ schools. Trey enjoys bird hunting and a competitive game of Texas Hold ‘Em. Both Trey and Kim enjoy exercising, a good martini and entertaining family and friends.
