Bebe Rexha sat down for an interview with Maxwell on #MostRequestedLive!
On having such a successful 2018:
"It's honestly surreal, 'cause you get so caught up in it, because you work really hard, and you want something, you keep going at it. There's been so many incredible things happening, it just moves so quickly, that sometimes you need to just step back and just remind yourself of all the amazing things happening to you. I actually did that this morning. I cuddled with my dog, and I was like, 'Ah I'm just so happy I get to cuddle my dog before I fly out to Europe. This is everything.' I had breakfast with my Mom and my Dad and my brother, and those are actually the moments that are the most humbling and make me the happiest."
On her experience performing on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show:
"Crazy in the sense that it was incredible. Seeing Gigi Hadid in person is, like, amazing, but it's also like, 'Damn, how could somebody be so stunning?' It was surreal in the fact that I see Adriana Lima right behind me in person. Growing up watching Adriana Lima, she was the most beautiful... I was like, 'Whoa this is insane.' But not only that - it was an 18-hour day of prepping and rehearsals - so many dress rehearsals... Finally, when the day was over, and I got into my bed, I don't even remember, I just fell asleep, full on face of make-up."
On the main message she wants her fans to take away from her music:
"I love being the voice of something real, especially for our generation, because it's not all about partying and falling in love. You get your heart broken, and it's about finding peace and love within yourself. So that's where I'm trying to go for -- especially for all my girls out there, the girls growing up -- because I had the P!nks and the Gwen Stefanis and the strong women, so I want to be that for the young girls, and even the young boys. That's my thing."
