Marriott To Close San Antonio Call Center

Marriott's International plans to close a San Antonio call center later this year, a result of the pandemic's impact on the hotel business. The company announced Monday that two Customer Engagement Center locations will shut down, with the other one in Canada. About 480 employees will reportedly be affected. Some will continue to work in a remote capacity, but others will be let go. Those whose jobs are eliminated will receive continued benefits, severance pay, and other types of assistance.
