No More Late Fees For Overdue Kids' Books From San Antonio Library

Books on bookshelves

The San Antonio Public Library is eliminating fines for overdue books in the juvenile and young adult categories. That also goes for DVDs, CDs, magazines, and audio books for kids. Late fees won't be charged on these items if they're returned by spring 2020. At that time, the results of the pilot program will be evaluated based on community response. Lost or damaged items will still incur a fee. The program is intended to encourage young people to make use of the library.
