Bastille Make Dizzying FaceTime Call In 'Joy' Video: Watch

Bastille Performs in London Exclusively For Hilton Honors

Bastille's latest single "Joy" is about having your spirits lifted by a phone call from a loved one, so it's only fitting the song's music video would involve FaceTime. The vertical clip follows singer Dan Smith and his bandmates as they dance through a city, while he asks "How’d you always know when I’m down?" during the chorus.

"'Joy' is the moment at the end, almost that moment of redemption when you wake up on the kitchen floor and all of the anxieties come flooding in," Smith explained to NME when the song came out earlier this month. "Something as simple as a call or a message from somebody can bring you back at that moment and rip the piss out of you, make you feel ridiculous for the state you were in."

The track is the latest offering from Bastille's upcoming album, Doom Days, which is slated for a June 14 release. It follows lead single "Quarter Past Midnight" and the album's paranoid title track.

"It feels kinda mad to say that we've got a third album," Smith told iHeartRadio last summer. "I didn't know that we'd still be a band, or that I'd still be alive by this point, so things seem to be going better than expected. We're just trying to capture that feeling of wanting to throw yourself into the night, and that sort of hunt for escapism."
