Linkin Park To Hold 'Special Public Event' In Tribute To Chester Bennington

Linkin Park released a statement announcing their plans to hold a "special public event" in Los Angeles in tribute to late frontman and vocalist Chester Bennington. 

"Just wanted to say thank you to all our fans around the world for the tremendous outpouring of love, which has strengthened our spirit during this incredibly difficult time," the statement read.

"The five of us are so grateful for all of your support as we heal and build the future of Linkin Park. We are working on a special public event in Los Angeles to honor Chester's memory, and look forward to sharing details with you soon."

The band has yet to perform since Bennington's death, who took his own life on July 20th, and have not announced the future of the band. They have posted memorials on social media and set up a website where fans can leave their own tributes to the late singer and condolences to Bennington's family. 

Whether it will be a performance or just a public appearance is still unknown at the moment. Check out the full statement below:
